But having said that, it is good to have a grasp of the basics for the practice areas that are likely going to be probed (M&A, Finance, maybe Litigation).To improve your basic understanding in these areas, I think TCLA offers some super helpful modules on certain topics like Private Equity which should provide a good groundwork for your learning. Additionally, the Commercial Law Academy offers a handy Commercial Law Handbook that goes through a more broad-stroke coverage of typical interview questions and answers.Additionally, I would look into deals that Freshfields has recently completed, especially in those more relevant practice areas. And be able to talk about those deals confidently whilst explaining why you personally found them interesting.
