[QUOTE="DavidJC, post: 220535, member: 4361"] Another week, another update! I've been rather quiet because I came down with the flu last week after the Hogan Lovells Evening Reception, and I've learned that a slew of Open Day rejections (Weil, Mayer Brown, Latham) and the flu all at once is a pretty powerful combo! I've finally been able to start getting back into the rhythm of the application season again so it's back to moving upwards from here! I also unfortunately missed out on the deadline for Goodwin's Open Day as a result but I had the privilege of meeting a member of their staff at the Social Mobility Factory on Thursday and had a really insightful discussion including about certain other firms and different perspectives on the differences between them! I also managed to submit what I think is a reasonably good application for HL's Lift Off programme and I definitely came away from that evening reception feeling quite inspired to apply to them as I'd had some brilliant conversations there. I've heard back with a PFO from NRF post-VI but I'm still waiting to hear back from HSF Kramer and very much trying to persist with the mantra of "no news is good news" I'm still planning to go ahead with the previously listed planned applications but it seems that the busyness of the autumn is really ramping up now as I've got mock assessments on my plate these two weeks, some pro bono projects finally kicking off at uni, other hobby projects with friends, more applications and classes, and the Semi-Finals of the AS CAC coming up! It really is looking like an immensely busy couple of weeks ahead for me and I'm going to really try and lean in to make the most out of everything and really make sure that every minute counts!
