8:45 am arrival, Introduction from recruitment
9:15 writing task one hour followed by 10-15 minutes of questions from partners regarding the written task
11:00-12:30 interview with 2 partners
12:30-2pm talk and Q&A with trainees 2pm end
Please provide a summary of each assessment on the day with approximate timings.
Written task - roughly one hour to read through everything (case study on a fictional business), write a memo on which business strategy I chose (which location should X open its new business), why, strengths and weaknesses of all the options, had to back up choices with the information provided Followed by 10-15 minutes of 2 partners acting as if they were the CEO of the fictional business and asked me questions about the case study. What would happen if X happened etc.
20 minutes break
Followed by one hour interview -company, situation based, commercial and motivation questions Trainee Q&A
As it was online, some people had the partner interview before the written task.

- Ensure you know how law firms function as businesses
- Be more enthusiastic with answers
- When talking about experiences, make sure you relate back to how you would act as a trainee
