Sorry I missed this earlier in the week.I personally didn't take any time out (tbh I'm champing at the bit to get into my career!) but I don't think you'd remotely be at a disadvantage - on the caveat that you do something productive and meaningful with your time (working/ travelling/ gaining experience/ volunteering etc etc).
