Hello I have a question which might sound silly but I’m genuinely curious!
What does the abbreviation “TC” stand for? As it is used in so many different questions and threads in also so many different contexts.

Thank you in advance.

Hi , it means Training Contract - which is a two year rigorous training that budding solicitors undertake with law firms, before qualifying. Instead of a TC it is also possible to undertake equivalent 2 year QWE (qualifying work experience) as a paralegal , law clinic etc.

The above explanation is spot on.

You may find non-SQE TCs referred to as a "period of recognised training" which is the formal name if you are training under the LPC qualification route.
