During the scheme I sat in the Construction team and the Regulatory Litigation team - these were both areas that I hadn't experienced before, and I found them both really interesting. Most of the VS cohort sat in one transactional team and one litigious team, which I thought was a good way to experience the strengths of the firm over the two weeks. Everyone I spoke to during the scheme was so lovely and willing to give up their time to chat to me - my supervisor in Reg Lit was actually off sick for the week I was in the team, and the partner that was head of the team ended up taking me under his wing, haha (+ spent an entire afternoon helping me with interview prep!). It definitely felt like a very collaborative firm, and I got to work with a wide range of people across the team, not just my supervisor. I also thought that the TC assessments were fair, and the teams I was in gave me time to prepare for this during the scheme! I also had the chance to take part in some pro-bono work during my time at the firm, which was really exciting!
