We have conducted mock interviews with hundreds of candidates over the past three years. We believe they are the best way to convert an interview into an offer, and many of our former interviewees have gone on to secure training contracts across the spectrum of law firms, including the magic circle and top US firms.
Our mock interviews will be tailored to the firm you are applying to and the specific interview you can expect to have. If you let us know in advance, we can also simulate M&A case study interviews by giving you a document to read 30 minutes before your interview. For some firms, we have information about the kinds of interview questions that candidates have been asked in recent cycles.
We’ll begin with a discussion about your background, strengths and weaknesses, and your prior interview experiences. Based on the firm you’re applying to, we’ll practice a combination of firm-specific, competency, scenario-based and commercial questions.
Our mock interviews are fairly tough: we’ll pick up on the points you mention, any discrepancies in your application and/or press you on commercial issues. But that’s the way it should be because we want you to learn how to answer challenging questions in our practice session, so you can excel in the real thing.
We’ll provide question-by-question feedback throughout the interview, as well as detailed feedback on your overall performance at the end.
