I have applied to a few, hoping to work for a leading UK law firm and specialise in corporate & commercial.
I wouldn't recommend rushing into the PGDL this September then. I think it would be better to apply for some winter schemes/direct TCs in the 2023/24 winter window and see whether 1) you need to to the PGDL (some firms don't require it) and 2) if you can get sponsored through the course and the SQE if needed.

You could always start any of these courses in January/February rather than September.

You could also do a hybrid of these options. For instance, you could work for 12 months while you make further applications, and then get a student loan if needed to fund any of these courses.

Hi @Jessica Booker, do you know which firms do not require PGDL? So far I have contacted HSF, W&C and learnt PGDL is required. Thanks.
