With video interviews, I find the best way to get better is to practise. Ideally, you want to get as many reps in as you can of answering questions under timed conditions, until the countdown/question type doesn't really phase you.

I can’t believe I’m writing this but I managed to convert my 2nd VS into a TC offer! In addition, I converted both of my DTC ACs into TC offers, meaning I now hold 4 US firm TC offers! 😅

At the beginning of this application cycle, I did not think I had what it takes to secure a single TC, mainly because I come from a lower socio-economic, working-class background. 🥲

To anybody who comes from a background like mine, I hope me sharing my journey over these past 6-7 months on the forum, has inspired and encouraged you to chase your dreams! 😅

I will be posting a breakdown of my entire cycle as well as some useful tips I learned along the way shortly. I now have the very difficult decision to make of choosing which TC offer to accept. 🫠

Hey @Chris Brown and huge congrats 🥳 🥳. I am not working on the forums during the summer period, but I saw a post about this on LinkedIn, and I just had to log back in and congratulate you . Your story is a true testament to what you can achieve through hard work and dedication, and is beyond inspiring - I would not be surprised if it becomes the stuff of legends on the forums in the coming years.

As a final bit of advice, you should take the time to celebrate the achievement as you have 100% earned it, and try not to worry too much about making the 'right' choice, as all your options are likely great ones (I wish I had followed this line of advice 12 months back 🥲). If you feel like you need any input, I'll be happy to give you my thoughts if you PM me.

You've definitely inspired so many of us (myself especially), in so many different ways. Two things about you & your journey have stood out to me - your relentless work-ethic and your wholehearted kindness. Whether it be sharing incisive insight or much-needed laughs, your presence on TCLA has been a much-appreciated one.
You mention that you didn't think you had "what it takes" to secure a TC, but I'm personally not at all surprised with your success. Your unrelenting commitment to this journey, coupled with your kindness and intellect, means that this outcome is a natural consequence of your hard work.

Whichever TC offer you choose to accept, the firm will be beyond lucky to have you. And, never forget - you've always got what it takes.

Hey, I made a typo and a couple other silly mistakes on one of my vac scheme tasks last month and they still invited me back to the final tc interview. I think it'll be dependent on the individual supervisor, but there is definitely still a chance - they won't expect you to be perfect!

everyone's bound to make mistakes, i wouldn't be too harsh on yourself about this

on the contrary, i would consider myself lucky if my errors had been typos but of course i had to dap up a partner when he reached for a handshake at an interview

You may also want to look into firms such as Forsters and Trowers & Hamlins. Also, Chambers UK does a great job of ranking the leaders in this specific area. I would look at these two rankings in particular, which can be found here and here. I should note that these rankings are more transactionally focussed. Their real estate litigation rankings can be found here. Hope this helps!
