Unrelated to TCs - I received an invite to do an assessed mini-pupillage at 1cor. I’ve not done one before so if anyone has any insight, even if it’s just general tips, that’d be great (feel free to DM me).

Hi! I received a VI invite for Stephenson Harwood. Could anyone provide some insight on the questions? This is my fourth application cycle and quite literally my last shot this time around. I really struggle with VI's and would appreciate any insight. thanks

You have unlimited preparation time before answering, so I highly recommend planning your answer, practice saying it many times, even timing it, before officially recording it to suit the 2 mins answer. Even if the 4 questions end up taking over an hour, its worth it.

There are lots of math questions in this type of assessment, so have a calc ready, and maybe practice some beforehand as they are tricky as the English is often unlear

Can only assume its PFO for those of us who actually know how to spell Penningtons ;)

    And indeed it is

Thank you for your recent application to our Trainee Solicitor Programme for 2027.

As I am sure you will appreciate, firms such as Penningtons Manches Cooper receive many more applications for our trainee lawyer programme than we have to offer. The calibre was extremely high again this year and although we read your application with interest, we regret that we are unable to offer you an interview for the role.

Did anyone else not receive an email from PMC? Assume PFO if they've already invited some people to interviews, but thought I would've received an email saying so if others have
I guess so. I haven’t heard from them either and so is the case with a lot of other people, so can’t really assume an invite or a pfo..idk I mean let’s hope for the best!

I also received that at 20:34 right before I go to bed. How lovely! :)

Anyone who can offer any tips for amberjack? Particularly for SH? I had an AC there last year so I'm hoping I know enough about the firm but then again last year there was no amberjack 🥲🥲
