I had the experience of applying and getting rejections in 2nd year, once i went into my final year rejections did not phase me as much as they did when I was in 2nd year every rejection felt personal (its not) haha. AI is a great tool, use it to break down what the application question is asking. It's easy to think what the question is asking but i may be asking something else always clarify. I had a method of including a case/deal the firm worked on that interested me and linking it to my interested whether it's a well known brand or it's a holiday destination I've been to I tried to relate with the case/deal i was using. Open days, law fairs, dinners, LinkedIn connections from alumni all to gain insight. It was ight work writing the answers as i had more than enough information, zero attachment to firms, did enough online tests to last a life time so I knew i had cracked it when i got lots of next stages for firms only i could wish for. I did not meet the A level requirement for many firms but progressed. There was of course 2/3 firms i loved and had breakdowns when rejected but onwards and upwards I will move there laterally if not securing a TC there
There will be a point where you hit a wall but in January once tings are up and running, offers are flying about you will get that urge to apply. As for now focus on your studies get the best grades you can in your 2nd year and work on answering written examples of work as this is an area people fall short with on schemes.

Some people got their test within days but others didn’t get it until weeks later. I got mine I think 3 weeks after I applied. This is for Weil idk if Mayer Brown is the same.

Regarding online assessments (going to go on a little rant here). I absolutely hate them especially the WG. I know people say you just need to practice but it just doesnt work for me. i dont want to blame my autism cos I know other neurodiverse people who find it ok. Thing is my application strategy was to avoid applying to firms with WG but then some of the firms I like have it (Latham, BCLP and i think W&C). Its just very discouraging. Even SJTs, I can say I am better at them now, considering I passed the HSFK and A&O one when I failed them last year, but I feel like SJTs are so subjective idk. The only test I like is artic shores and I feel like I'm the only one

I completely agree with you. What I especially dislike is that a lot of firms, if not most, do not provide you with your score. It feels really prohibitive because how are you expected to improve if you don't know how poorly you did? What I have found helpful is assessmentday and TCLA's WG. It would seem they do everything in batches, looking back through the thread there's always a few WGs at a time, then VIs at a time, then a few ACs at a time etc. I would imagine now it's the deadline though they might just do everyones?
Received an invite to Hogan Lovells stage 1 online assessment today. Submitted the application last night. Would appreciate insight! I can give insight into stage 1 and 2 of Freshfields online test in exchange!
Isn't the test automatic? They screen after the test, probably using the amberjack, and subsequently, if you pass, they view the profile and the VI (I assume based on the information on their website).
