Followed up the WFW VI with a Clyde & Co VI that was plagued by technical issues - trying to explain how I cope well under pressure while I'm clearly fumbling due to my camera randomly turning on and off, and the questions are resetting, is a new level of cringe that will hopefully at least make GR laugh.

Back to the drawing boards we go..!

I guess you can say you kept going under pressure in this situation - real world example!!

It seemed like there was conflicting information. I'm a last minute applicant, but this is why I like to submit the day before the deadline. Submitting the day of is too risky because it's not always clear when the advert will close.

Travers FYI everyone!: it seems that they reopened the Vantage form, I'm currently accessing it. Not sure if this is going to change, but I think they'll keep it open until 6pm

How do firms actually make offer decisions after an Assessment Centre?
I’m curious how decisions are typically made once candidates reach the AC stage.
Do firms still take a genuinely holistic view at that point (e.g. academic record, prior experience, overall trajectory), or is the decision largely driven by AC performance itself?
More specifically:

• Are candidates scored numerically across exercises (case study, interview, group task, etc.) with certain exercises weighted more heavily?
• If so, do different exercises carry different weight (e.g. case study vs competency interview)?
• Or is there still a degree of discretion and qualitative discussion when deciding who receives offers?

Interested to hear perspectives from trainees, associates, or anyone involved in the recruitment process.

It's bad for me. Like: what is this online assessment? I did one from the same people for Milbank and it was SJT with some random timed written questions at the end. Do I have to prepare for this ?

Omg just came out of the first half of FLK1 (horrible btw) to a missed call, which turns out to be DLA VS offer. So bloody happy. Now just need to fill in spring and convert one 💃🏽💃🏽
