Who’s still waiting on Slaughters summer vac scheme post app
I think it doesn't matter, but it does give you advantage because you have worked at the firm, so you would know more about the firm, use that in interviews.follow up question (forgive the ramble): do you guys reckon having work experience (and actively working) at the law firm you're applying to for a vac scheme give any meaningful advantage? (i.e. 6 months working [at a different office than the one you're applying to] while on a year abroad)
I'm not sure, sorry. They release new dates all the timeMay I also ask the (general) dates they do for the ACs?
thank you sm for replyingit was much chiller than i anticipated! written exercise i found a bit difficult but my interviewers were both so lovely, the partner interview in particular was super conversational. wasn’t asked any out of the blue/super difficult questions either![]()

@nonlawstudent98Any tips for the most effective way to prepare for an interview??
Thank you!I'm not sure, sorry. They release new dates all the time
ofc, thanks so much!! you too xthank you sm for replyinghope it goes well for you!!!! x
it covers pretty well the "why law" and "why this law firm", which is something many get rejected for. Other than that, would not be surprised if some law firms contact the other office asp (if someone from that office reaches out to them with a kind word or two it probably helps even more).follow up question (forgive the ramble): do you guys reckon having work experience (and actively working) at the law firm you're applying to for a vac scheme give any meaningful advantage?
