uhm if I tell you that typically I spend most of my day, everyday (including most of the weekend), on my academics would you believe me.... haha... just because the deadlines and reading never stop. I've been taking shortcuts and disregarding some things (for example lectures and some pieces of reading) just to make some time for apps but it is having a slight effect on my academics lol - which means I need to lock in so deep after apps are over to make up for it all...
Fair enough - I wonder therefore if it is potentially a question not of how one prepares for applications but how one studies? I had friends whilst I was still at university who had similar issues, but found instead that it came as a result of studying inefficiently. I can't pretend to know what your degree is or uni is, but surely they must not have an expectation that one needs to work any more than max 9-7 ish Mon-Fri.

Then again, there's no one-size-fits-all, but based on how successful you seem to have been so far in your applications, you must be doing many things right!

If anyone could help it would be appreciated; i work as a paralegal inhouse, and i want to talk about my experience in my applications but how do i leverage it to show i want to work in a firm but i have xyz experience. I dont want it to sound like a love letter to my job (though i do enjoy it) and make those reviewing my application think i dont want to move

Link it to the firm. What are you doing now that means you would an asset to the firm? Why has your work made you want to go to the firm?

😂 omg my deliveroo driver called me... I saw the UK number and I froze cos I was like is this a firm calling me?? and then I answered so hesitantly and was so nervous until the person on the line said "your food is here"

man the CONTROL these firms have over me 🤣 anyways I should've used my common sense... 1) it's not even during business hours rn and 2) I have no firms I'm waiting to hear from? gagged
