I have APs (granted, from a really long time ago). No one asked me for proof when I did my vac scheme. Come to think of it, not sure they asked me for proof of my degree either, but maybe they would have if I had converted. In any case, can probably request a copy from College Board if really needed.

Thank you so much!! I think they’re also asking for my high school transcript as well (but it’s from like 3 yrs ago) and i haven’t got a clue how to find that….

Hi — hope you don’t mind me reaching out. I’ve got a Burges Salmon assessment centre coming up and saw your post about the Winter AC.


We’ve been told the assessment centre will consist of:

• a scenario discussion
• a group exercise
• a written exercise
• and an interview with a lawyer

I’d really appreciate any advice you’re happy to share on what to expect and how best to prepare — even just what each part felt like on the day, what you think assessors were looking for, and anything you wish you’d known beforehand. Well, I did get Farrer PFO post app for VS yesterday, but managed to get to first stage interview last cycle for DTC

If I start spamming then pls turn a blind eye, I’m going through it atm

For the interview with a partner, when they ask "why X firm?" and when discussing what practice areas particularly interest me, would you recommend talking in depth about deals here or just being general and focusing on the rankings of the practice areas? Sorry to ask this silly question, as it's my first AC, so just trying to be prepared.

I am so done with the entire process. I have a VI to complete in two days but I don’t find any motivation to prepare. I am grateful for making it till this stage but sometimes all I want to do in my free time is sleep not prepare for VIs or write apps

Just from my experience - they’re quite niche so perhaps it depends on which area you qualify into

Then I’d say call your high school maybe? Or check through you digital files to see if you have scans from when you were applying to universities.
