TCLA Vacation Scheme Applications Discussion Thread 2025-26

If ive not heard back post AC for 3 and a half weeks should I assume PFO? Has anyone heard back later and been given an offer before or should I just come to terms with it
It’s not over till it’s over. Maybe you were one of the firsts to give the ac and other people are still giving it?

Maybe if you name the firm it’ll be easier for people to tell you if they’ve heard back and when they gave the ac/or any previous experiences with them. :)

lol Fieldfisher didn’t even bother to invite me to the employability talk:

Thank you for applying to Fieldfisher’s Training Contract 2028 (London). We appreciate the time and effort you put into your application.

After careful review by our Early Careers Team, we regret to inform you that we are unable to progress your application to the next stage. We understand this news may be disappointing, and we apologise for any frustration this may cause.

I'm sorry that we cannot provide individual feedback, but we've had high volumes of applications and a small team to review them. As we read all application forms submitted for this position, these were some of the common reasons for rejection and may not apply to directly to you.

I hope you find them useful and can incorporate any learnings into future, successful applications:
  • Incomplete or inaccurate information: Ensure all sections of the application are fully completed and accurate.
  • Lack of relevant experience or skills: Highlight experiences and skills that directly relate to the role you are applying for.
  • Insufficient demonstration of motivation: Clearly articulate your interest in Fieldfisher and the specific role you've applied to.

“As we read all application forms submitted for this position” - liar liar pants on fire🤣🤣🤣🤣

Sorry to hear this btw :(

do you think they even looked at the second group, it's quite frustrating
They said in their email they didn’t. :(

We can now confirm that Phase One is complete. However, due to the exceptionally high volume of strong applications, this now means that all of our Training Contract and Summer Scheme places have now been filled.

I mean if they filled all places I’m sure they didn’t look because it won’t make sense :/

“Phase One”- why does this sound like a military operation 😭😭😭

omg did you, congrats! Can I ask when you applied please?

I applied on the day of the deadline but didn’t realise the general application confirmation email had a RARE questionnaire link in it! So only completely that last week, keeping everything crossed that this has just put me at the bottom of the pile and they’re yet to get to me! 😅
Hi! Thank you <3 and I was deadline day too, fingers crossed for you!!!

it feels like being stood up by a date or something HAHA

applying to law firms really feels like dating tbh...I think after this I'll have 10 years of dating experience without ever going on an actual date 😂

Do you mind pasting the whole email? This is interesting

I remember that week being so stressful/busy at work but I still made myself submit a decent app in the spare time I got... for it to not be even be read haha
