There have been a few updates since the last one in the past week which I’ll set out below:

1: got the Sidley SVS AC post TI. This was unexpected as I’d assumed a PFO post app…
2: got the Mayer Brown DTC SJT and VI. I’ve only done one other amberjack this cycle (Weil)…
2: submitted my Haynes Boone VS and Bakers DTC apps, hopefully good news for one of these.
3: got PFO from Freshfields DTC post app, SJT and VI after waiting 3 months, this was my 24th PFO.

I’ve got 8 apps left to submit on my list which will take me to 42 apps in total this cycle. I’m sat on 34 apps atm, 24 PFOs, 3 VS offers. Hoping at the end of the cycle I get that one TC offer! ​

Thank you for the update - huge respect for the resilience here! That is a serious amount of applications, and you're still pushing forward (despite 3 VS offers already!). Best of luck with your remaining 8 applications, and with any upcoming vacation schemes - fingers crossed you'll end the cycle with a TC offer!

My thought process is there’s no guarantee I will convert my VSs and I’d rather have options open to me via the DTC route than not applying and in that case being back in September by default.

If I manage to convert a VS into a TC or secure a TC from one of the DTC apps I’ve alr sent, then I won’t be sending any further apps and I would also be withdrawing from all the outstanding ones left.

I’m not 100% set on submitting all 8 of these apps left yet either I’m thinking of dropping 2 or 3 of them, but I’ll see how things progress. I could end up submitting them all or only a few…​
