You have to have completed a law degree prior to sep 2025 and have completed the sqe before sep 2026. The vac scheme is purely recruiting for a sep 2026 tc start.

Also if you do want to apply i’d advice applying early/right now as i’m pretty sure it’s rolling basis and they are going through the recruitment process rather speedily.

Hi all, sorry if this was already discussed but I can't really find it anywhere...does anyone have any insights re Macfarlanes stage 1 online assessment? They make a reference to a calculator so I am wondering whether numerical reasoning will be part of the assessment? Thank you!

It’s just a regular cappfinity test, so just STJ and Watson Glaser style Critical thinking section.

Confirmed in my email I sent, they responded saying you need to have a PGDL and SQE passed if you're Non-Law.

Hi, I’m usually a silent reader but it’s really been a tough journey and I’m currently struggling. This is my second application cycle and I was so close to a training contract last year but was rejected after the vac scheme and another AC rejection. This year again got to the last stage for a direct TC at a US firm and another rejection today. Also was rejected after the AC for another firm’s vac scheme &countless application rejections on top of that. Really losing hope and motivation to continue on and was just wondering if anyone had any advice
