TCLA Vacation Scheme Applications Discussion Thread 2025-26

why is the arnold porter insight day application so long?? and they interview?? is that not insane

i dont think they fast track you for vs or anything so what's the benefit of investing so much time into the recruitment (both for them and for us... surely it is a lot more resource intensive to have grad recruitment staff reading through 3 or 4 answers and then phoning people compared to other firms that will have really simple open day apps?) - maybe i just have a really low tolerance for time spent on applications though

You have to have completed a law degree prior to sep 2025 and have completed the sqe before sep 2026. The vac scheme is purely recruiting for a sep 2026 tc start.

Also if you do want to apply i’d advice applying early/right now as i’m pretty sure it’s rolling basis and they are going through the recruitment process rather speedily.

Does it mean they will still sponsor the SQE qualification though?

Hi all, sorry if this was already discussed but I can't really find it anywhere...does anyone have any insights re Macfarlanes stage 1 online assessment? They make a reference to a calculator so I am wondering whether numerical reasoning will be part of the assessment? Thank you!
It’s just a regular cappfinity test, so just STJ and Watson Glaser style Critical thinking section. :)
