I'm a second-year Law student without a training contract. If I don't manage to secure a winter vacation scheme, I'm wondering how exactly I can go about becoming a paralegal and getting a training contract through that route? Do I apply in the winter of this year when I've just begun my third year?

For paralegal roles you would only apply 6-8 weeks before you are ready to start the job. They aren’t recruited in advance as the same way as TCs as you don’t have the complete the LPC/SQE to undertake them (or they expect you to have those qualifications already).
