Hi! I was wondering if anyone had any tips for the Reed Smith VI (I got an extension due to having Covid!) I have prepared strength questions and why RS but was wondering if there's more commercial focused questions aswell etc? Thanks in advance!! :)
Hope you are feeling better! The RS VI is so calm in my opinion. That's not to say I think I did well but it wasn't a particularly stressful experience as you get given plenty of time to talk and the questions are more conversational than strict, direct answer questions.
From what I can remember there aren't any questions that specifically focus on commercial awareness, they more look at the ways you develop your knowledge and what you are interested in.
As long as you have prepped the usual 'why reed smith' and are generally aware of the firm and what they are looking for then you'll be absolutely fine.
I would recommend using the prep time in between each question (about 1-2 mins cant remember) to give your answer a bit of structure because there is the tendency to ramble due to the conversational nature of the qs.
Otherwise just remember to smile and look at the camera and you'll do great :) - best of luck x

Does anyone have any positive experiences where they got through to ACs despite spelling mistakes in their applications?
I remember someone here saying they passed the next stage with an app where they had mentioned another firm's name instead of the firm they were applying to lol, so I don't think it's a huge issue!

Proofreading tip: I always paste my answer into a text to speech website and play it to myself - that way I'm much more likely to pick up on errors :)

Hi guys,

The Willkie video interview links will be sent this week, I was wondering if anyone had any hints or tips on what to look at? Also does anyone know how long the prep time/talking time is? Thank you @James Carrabino
The main suggestion I have would be to research the firm very well! I do not quite recall the prep time/talking time but it was around a minute or 90 seconds I think. Also, make sure to follow instructions on which browser to use (Safari does not work very well if I recall)
