Don't worry I'm not! I just accepted my TC offer today so now making any more applications now :) it's just that I was looking at the firm's office location and wondered if the fact it was in liverpool street meant anything

Map of law firm office locations in London?

Does anyone have a map which marks where each firm is located? I've looked and looked online but I can't find a recent one. Would be really interesting to see where they all are in relation to one another. Also, does anyone have any opinions on whether it's better to be in Chancery Lane or...

I think most firms list any specifications about where and when they expect you to do those courses in their FAQs so it's probably worth having a look on their websites

I'd talk about the thing you're most passionate about. I was asked the question at the end of an interview with a firm and talked about the hobby I've had for the past 8 years and why I loved it. I worried afterwards that they might compare my enthusiasm for the hobby with my enthusiasm for the...

Thank you for the advice! I think I didn't express myself very well: it's less that I'm not interested in consultancy, and more that so far, I've focused my efforts on law. I know very little about consultancy (in fact it's a complete miracle I got the internship) and I guess I'm questioning...

I definitely wouldn't answer with a straight "yes", because I don't think they'd buy it. I'd talk about the importance of time management and organisation and give an example of a time when you had a lot to do and were very structured in your approach and it paid off

Could we maybe make a communal spreadsheet showing which firms do what? I have a tendency to miss calls so would be really helpful to know if a particular firm is going to contact me via email or not

I always find it funny how bad employees' answers tend to be to the "Why this firm?" question. Like, if I said "the big deals and the friendly culture" when you asked me then you'd reject me in a heartbeat lol

Yes, I've had competency interviews in the past that have included situational questions. Don't let them throw you - just have a list of the firm's core values in front of you and keep them in mind as you think about what you'd do in the situation they've given.

What do NRF mean when they say they are "recognised for their industry focus"? Do they mean their structure is based on industries rather than practice areas?
