2020-21 Direct Training Contract Applications Discussion
I know that HFW do occasionally take direct TC places but this cycle they've filled up a lot of them from VS (having just got one! yay!) but they will only look at direct once they're done with picking from the VSs. So up to you?- panzerfahrer

I think it's because some people are applying for the insight scheme and others are straight TC (I'm straight-TC for London) - and the final panel interviews take place simultaneously for both insight and straight TC, so the insight schemers have to be allocated first! There was only one slot for my written exercise so they must give out a certain amount of invites for the same day in the following week i.e. tomorrow they will give out invites for the tuesday slot next week - it seems to be staggered so i would say theres still hope :)- panzerfahrer

I didn't apply for the insight scheme. Just the TC - I also saw online somewhere that they recruit basically 50/50 from insight schemes and straight TC apps. So it feels a little odd - especially when I've just gone through a much more thorough process with another firm just for the vac scheme!- panzerfahrer

I'm having mixed feelings about how my VI just went. I'm also a bit confused about how they can pick someone after 3 questions, WG and written test?? Surely there's more?!
