    Your best bet is to just take the risk and request time off as a holiday. The chances of your current employer finding out are slim to none. Theres absolutely no point disclosing the vac scheme to your current employer because then they will obviously know that you’ve got one foot out the door...

    Or you could just apply for any grad job but do some pro bono volunteering at a legal clinic or do your own legal project on the side.

    Completely empathise with this, there’s nothing worse than coming out of an interview feeling like you smashed it and then getting hit with a fat PFO. It just makes you second guess yourself about future interviews too. Hopefully you get feedback though :)
