They have done this in previous years. I am sure my friend had the same previously and they never got invited to an interview.

I did it a few years ago, if the online one is still written, the main difference is the partner one is discussed in the interview. You have some time to make notes (I think it was around 15mins), but you’re assessed by discussing/answering questions

So Burges Salmon's work experience section says "In order to be considered for a training contract through our direct process we would like to see that you have completed relevant legal work experience....We classify work experience as paralegal or legal assistant work at a commercial law firm, partaking in a vacation scheme at Burges Salmon or another law firm or informal work experience at another law firm."

Technically I dont have experience at a firm, but I do have experience as an Ombudsman - would that count? And are they quite strict with it? thanks!

I did their AC too and to my understanding was that we should hear back by call

nope, you're allowed unlimited time to do as much as you want,

I got the same email yesterday and didn’t know what to make of it. But i guess it’s just a formality and doesn’t mean anything

Has anyone who did London ACs/Vac Schemes for CRS heard back re training contracts? I believe they’re still doing ACs for either Guildford or Cheltenham but I was under the impression that we would hear this week?

In my experience it’s just a standard part of their process. If you don’t have your results for that academic year when you apply, they sometimes wait for the grades before assessing your application. If you haven’t had that email they might not have gotten to your application yet

Yes I have had my application on hold once before the AC stage at Clifford Chance last year, but subsequently received a rejection. But you never know! 🤞🤞

I think it's too early to assume, seems like most people that got the VI+SJT applied late May or early June
