best tip would be to calm nerves down as much as possible. talk to people as you normally would, it helped me relax and I found i was able to connect with everyone at the firm a lot better this way. your assessors are just people, dont be afraid to ask them questions to show curiosity and get to know them a bit, you never know, you might have a mutual interest which you can then talk about (dont force this though or u might seem unprofessional)
How was the commercial case study interview? Do they expect you to have a strong understanding of commercial awareness/thinking, or do they just want to see how you think and process information?

they look for both really. try to be flexible and willing to change your mind when you are objectively wrong, but also dont be too intimidated to hold firm on ideas which you know are right. in terms of commercial awareness, be aware of how businesses operate and what clients want out of negotiations or disputes

Weil SJT+VI invite 😍

I know it’s semi-automatic, but it’s still nice to receive
Congrats!!

I applied on 5 November but haven’t heard anything so definitely not semi-automatic! I’m expecting a PFO because despite having A*AA, I only got a low/mid 2.1 with multiple 2.2 grades and I can’t imagine that with removing all application questions, they aren’t looking for strong A levels AND at least a strong/high 2.1.

It probably depends on if you’ve got extenuating circumstances and/or flagged as contextual too, because I only have ABB A-levels and whilst I’ve gotten a high 2:1 in my degree, I had several 2:2 modules but I had mitigating circumstances. The majority of my modules were strong 2:1 or above but I had at least 4 2:2 module marks.
