Weil, Gotshal Vac Scheme Video Interview 2025

Hi everyone, has anyone completed the SJT for Weil Gotshal and know whether you have to reach a certain benchmark on that test before they view your video interview submission?

Hiya, i just finished mine x
The video interview is pretty easy, no specific commericial awareness kinda questions really. Just the usual “Why”s. The SJT thought. The math is NOT as easy as the practice assessment may lead you to believe. Its not as simple as calculating %, so plssssssss prepare tons and dont be like me…i prepared well but didnt think the math required anything more than bare minimum basics but it’s got graphs and tables and a lot of back and forth calculations. PLEASE do your math prep, I cant stress this enough. i JUST finished mine and came directly here hoping atleast one person benefits from this lmao.
If you’re not a math person, use the interview as your redemption. The questions are basic to the point where a quick read of the firm website will suffice. So its 100% possible for ANYONE to prepare a solid answer since the bar is “more than vac scheme web page” info. Not even the whole website…just the vac scheme section. So plssss use this to prepare amazing answers good luck guys xx
The humbling feedback is sent the second you hit submit on your interview btw so incase you have another firm’s sjt right after, atleast you can refer to the feedback generated x
(To answer your question, they do watch your interview so dw x

Hey, thank you so much for responding! Unfortunately this morning I recieved a quick rejection; when I looked at the results of the SJT it was unfortunately very poor (not surprised since I've always been god awful at maths) and I'm sure that was what ultimately let me down even though I was pretty prepared for the VI questions that came up and felt I did well! I'm feeling really defeated but I'm definitely going to apply again next year and won't let this get to me. The thing with SJTs is that they're so different accross different firms and every firm's values can be looking for different things so it can be quite tricky - I'm wishing you all the best of luck & I'll keep my fingers crossed for you girl, I'm sure you've smashed it! x
