I just had my WBD phone interview. It went well and I'm feeling confident!

Here are a few behind-the-scenes facts for those who might be interested:

WBD received about 2000 applications for the DTC. 100 were invited for phone interviews. The assessment centre will be virtual to increase accessibility.

100 from 2000 based on the 5 min quiz is nuts i wonder what the criteria was

Do you know any more firms that allow virtual AC? I know another one like OC, I didn't apply both.

Not off the top of my head.

It is also a cost saving measure, of course. There are no travel expenses to pay. But because WBD is a very regionally dispersed firm, it makes sense. Although London and US based, they have UK offices as far apart as Plymouth and Edinburgh.

So sorry if this sounds tone deaf I promise that’s not my intention at all, and I genuinely understand how tough rejections can be as someone whose been rejected almost everyday.
I just wanted to ask if anyone else has ever felt like this. I’ve just received my first ever assessment centre after so many rejections, and for the last 24 hours my mind has honestly gone blank because I’m in disbelief that it actually happened.

Is it normal to feel this excited for this long, even though I know it’s still just one step in the process and not a guarantee of anything? I think I’m just shocked more than anything and wondering if others have experienced the same feeling.

Getting an AC is a massive achievement considering the competitiveness of this field and you should be totally excited and proud of yourself!!
