I think Ropes is the only completely CV-blind firm I've applied to so far, and I love it.
Echoing you, it totally makes sense that privilege/background/everything else that comes with differing socio-economic backgrounds will affect your grades and access to co-curriculars! Which is why...
For those wondering if Dechert has sent out VIs:
- they have sent out VIs since the start of Jan
- they've had at least 2 ACs so far
It seems to be quite staggered, so I think they're recruiting in batches. I did my VI last week, and applied on the deadline.
Depends on how much notice the firm gives you.
I had two weeks to prepare for Ashurst, so I spent the first week literally trawling the firm's website until I knew every sub-link and had a solid idea of the workings of the time (and random statistics and facts that were stored in my long-term...

Haha plenty to learn from here! Youtube videos on understanding market fundamentals are a way to start. Download a paper trading account (trading fake money) and trade with low risk. I trade crypto, so you could start by seeing the different alt coins (the DeFI infrastructure for instance) and...
I answered it by talking about the ability to future-proof tech-relevancy. I used examples of successful lawyers being able to individually use RPA to automate their admin, using coding to sieve out relevant data for court etc. I linked it to the ability to widen their client net - (law firms as...
