    BPP LPC help. 3Days?

Pleasure. If by "receiving" you mean an email or a warning that they are ready, then no. The timetable will appear in your outlook calendar synced with your bpp email address. You need to login to your account first. However, I had to follow up with them as my account was set up but timetable...

They are the same. All the materials are on the tiles. In fact the SGS themselves are only softcopies.

    BPP LPC help. 3Days?

Hi Jane, Unhelpfully I chucked out the list. But I have the materials and have been working with them. There are two different property materials. One is a paperback handbook, statutes for the course. The other is a big stack of punchedholed papers where the reading chapters are.

    BPP LPC help. 3Days?

Same! Finally the timetable is there! As for modules.. I'm missing the BLP tile but hopefully that will also sort itself out! Does the intro BLP MCQ test count towards our mark? Or is it like a practice thing only?

    BPP LPC help. 3Days?

It is incomprehensible to me tbh. I called weeks ago and they told me it was too early to know and that they would reach out at end of July...Well, that didn't happen. Also implicit in the tone was the "how do you dare ask" message, but that is by the by. I don't understand it in my particular...

Competing TC start dates problem - any advice?

In your position I would ask myself whether your slight preference for Firm 2 outweighs the worst case scenario with that firm. If the answer to that is yes, then take the risk and worst case scenario may not happen, if no, I wouldn't and enjoy your peace of mind. In case I'm not clear, do you...

    BPP LPC help. 3Days?

Hi Everyone, I have been told by my firm that our cohort are scheduled to do the LPC at BPP attending Holborn campus 3 days a week. Has someone had this schedule before, and could you kindly tell me roughly the time frame? Was it like 9am start, or sooner/later? How many hours each day? I have...

    Magic Circle Trainee after PhD

I'm finishing my PhD in a different discipline whilst doing the GDL part-time and I was successful in my first round of interviews last year. I made it clear in my application that it will be finished by the time I begin my TC. It came up in both my assessment centre and partner interviews...

    career change - need advice

Hi, Just a brief comment. It can be done. I'm 36 and from abroad and secured a TC in a SC firm last year. Currently doing the GDL part-time and expecting to do the LPC full-time next academic year. Cannot advise you on SQE as I don't know that route. However the GDL is tough and there is a...

Help buying/choosing professional clothing (especially for women)

Personally I would stay away from a brown suit and non-white shirts if you don't have first-hand experience of the dress code 'conventions' in a particular firm. They can vary greatly. For an interview I would always err in the side of caution and wear a black or navy suit with a white shirt...

    Career Manoeuvrability - Post TC

Please PLEASE don't listen to your contact and take the offer!! I concurr with everything that @Matt_96 has already told you, so I'm not going to repeat the points. Congratulations on your TC!!

Uber drivers are workers, not self employed - UK Supreme Court

The ruling shows however that employers cannot contract out of their obligations, and reaffirms Autoclenz. Ordinary contractual principles don't always apply to employment contracts, the tribunal is entitled to look beyond the scope of the contract to establish the true nature of their...

    Career changer - strategy

If you can afford it and fancy it, why not? I love studying and have several postgraduate qualifications in my previous (well, still present) career. That said, I unfortubately found most postgraduate courses I did quite disappointing. My feeling is that there is a lot of powerful marketing...

    Career changer - strategy

Hi! Also a career changer here from the same industry as yours, broadly speaking. I think that you are already showing commitment to the cause with the GDL- and congrats on the fantastic result ;). I would not take a paralegal position if it means a pay cut or losing seniority. I think your...

    Mishcon De Reya

I passed the written application stage last cycle. I wrote Mishcon de Reya ("MdR") in my first sentence and then proceeded with MdR subsequently. As Jessica suggests you can also refer to "the firm", which I also used. But shortening it after an appropriate intro seems to be fine.
