Does anyone have any insights on what written assessments entail and how to prepare (if anyone knows anything specifically for Bird & Bird that would be especially helpful)
I’m not sure if it’s that some firms understand that it’s a minor mistake and won’t reject u purely on that basis, or if grad recruitment just didn’t realise, but I spelt Taylor Wessing as Tyler Wessing on mine and got to the next stage.
I’m not sure if you’re 2nd or 3rd year, but I got 51% in first year. I decided not to do applications in 2nd year because I figured they wouldn’t be too competitive and focused on getting a good 2nd year grade instead. I’ve been applying this year and have progressed with a few firms so far...
Mischon PFO. Bit of a weird one for me cause it wasn't a firm that's high up on my list, but I thought my answers were particularly good.
Starting to think there's just more and more luck involved in getting past the application stage, specially since some of the ones I have gotten past I did...
I'm not sure about how Weil does their VI invites but the one piece of advice I would give is to not try and predict your outcome on the basis of what you see on here. It probably won't be accurate and you never know what the firms are actually doing. Just try and keep it out of mind until you...
Bird & Bird had one firm related question and three competency based questions. I would just refresh yourself on the reasons you are attracted to the firm and then focus on writing out situations where you have demonstrated different skills (e.g., Teamwork/collaboration, working under pressure...)

I attended an application workshop with Hogan Lovells and they said you should never be afraid of bragging (as long as it doesn't come off very obnoxious I imagine), the whole point of the application is to convey how great you are - so I think that would be fine.
Does anyone have any tips on how to prepare for a video interview - what firm related topics may come up outside of 'why this firm?', 'a specific practice area', or 'a specific case'?
Thank you :)
