I applied in Dec 2019 for Jan 2020 start at BPP. It is not too late until a couple of weeks after the course starts! They will take your money as late as possible.
Completely agree about culture. Have heard several GR say don't talk about it in applications as it is just too generic. There is so much else to talk about and link back to you.
My view:
1. Identify the challenges the firm faces in the legal market focussing on the client perspective and then what it can do to overcome them: gaining new clients, retention, pricing models, ALSPs, onshoring etc.
2. How does the firm differentiate itself from others: training, work...
Watson Glaser invite from Weil! :D
This one has really been stressing me out and causing serious anxiety as I saw several people had applied a few weeks after me and already been invited. For those still waiting, hang in there!
For reference, I applied on 3/12/2020.
I think this is definitely all three rolled into one. Whatever you don't manage to cover here about the firm specifically (as you are limited to only 500 words) you can cover in the other question.
I usually put my experience with the Pro Bono Society under a work experience section when there isn't enough space to expand on it sufficiently elsewhere in the application. I also include a misrepresentation claim I brought in the County Court as well.
