    Jesus, that was quick. Waiting to hear about mine. Submitted on 3rd December. Just got the first rejection from a firm I was really interested in - Willkie after VI :( This one stings a bit (a lot). I actually thought I had done quite well on the VI and was pretty pleased with my answers. FML.

    Sounds like they are splitting up the half-day AC and reducing the number of people going to interview rather than scoring both those tasks together.

    Just do your best. If you have been ill the entire time or have other mitigating circumstances then ask for an extension. Otherwise not really any excuse for not completing it in time.

    Amazing, well done. It will be two weeks tomorrow that I did the VI but I did get an email saying we would have a decision by Xmas Eve. So hopefully shouldn't be too much longer. When did you complete your VI?

    SSTs are nothing like WGs. It's not really something you can practice for. Just have a think about the qualities the firm looks for in its trainees and try to be honest.

    No. This isn't a why do you want to work at Reed Smith question. The question that shows your knowledge of the firm is the one on their core values. Got to AC last year without linking to the firm. If it flows and comes up naturally, great. Otherwise don't worry.
