Just got an AC invite for the direct TC for Linklaters...but it’s Wednesday next week and I work full time!! Wondering if it’s feasible to push back at all...
I talked about why I personally wanted to work in commercial law, but it linked it back to my own work experience (as I'm a couple of years out of university). I didn't specifically call out any skills - I think you can demonstrate those by saying why you're interested in law (showing not telling).
If you search there's a thread on it somewhere, I did it recently and my tip is to have an answer for 'Tell us about yourself' that fits neatly into 30 seconds - I was cut off because I didn't realise how short 30 seconds actually is!
I chose next Tuesday but there were a few slots - even one for tomorrow! And no, they’ve said nothing about what to expect apart from that it’ll be 20 minutes...
congrats! the SJT was pretty straightforward, the verbal test was really wordy (you have to read long paragraphs for some individual questions) but not too terrible.
I have seen a couple of AC invites on student room for what it's worth...have to say I don't envy their grad rec giving themselves such a tight turnaround but fair play!
