I disagree... If they get 3000 applications and there is a team of 5 + perhaps other Partner helpers, you cant blame them for wanting to get a head start. There is nothing wrong with reading an application and then progressing to the WGT and then VI and stopping there.
From my understanding, ROLLING means that they hand out TC offers before the official deadline... Non-rolling means (1) that they look at no applications until after the deadline, OR (2) they look at applications and move people onto the next stage, but do NOT hand out TC offers until all...
Over 300 on the call, and noticed all their associates have a 1st class undergrad degree... Ah well, that's as close as I will get to the Paul, Weiss office... Saved me a few hours over the Xmas hols...
Ashurst, EDF Energy, NRF and WLG Gowling all use the Artic Shores test.
Perhaps apply to one you don't want to get some practice, before doing the Ashurst test.
Each firm may put a different emphasis on the test. Not all firms heavily depend on it.
Perhaps best to find out how heavily BM rely on it to screen for those who go through to the next stage.
Perhaps someone who went to a BM Open Day this year can shed light on this point...

I'm convinced that law firms give you one chance, so make your first application to them the best.

I would talk about, (1) informing the client that the firm conducts business in this region regularly and all the benefits that brings, e.g. (1a) knowledge of both the physical landscape, (1b) knowledge of the legal landscape - incl offices or...
They are a top Ghosting firm. They made my list.
