Thank you! I am not too worried about the WG, just annoying that no matter how well I do in the test my application is going to get binned but oh well maybe it's fate 😌
I submitted my CC app and there is a horrendous typo (half a sentence is missing). I received the WG link and it says that if I don’t complete the test before the deadline, they will withdraw my application. Does anyone know if you can reapply in the same cycle after your application is...
Thank you! If the practice areas of the firms is not necessarily very similar but they have similar training styles/core values/vibes, is that something worth mentioning? Or is it best to stick to practice.
Apologies because I am sure this has been asked before, but when a firm asks which other firms you are applying to and why, is it common practice to be as vague as possible and just say, e.g., "global firms with small trainee intakes and a focus on fintech" or to mention names? My work...
I would imagine there is a yes/no box and then you have to say which subject/exam you had to resit and whether you passed. But I don't think that is the place to include mitigating circumstances
Anyone receive the schedule and zoom details for Goodwin open day today? Email said we would be receiving a schedule+zoom link today but I have not received anything
If applications are reviewed on a rolling basis it isn’t unreasonable to think that sending an early application for a scheme (even if months in advance) means that there will be a quicker turnaround for responses. I understand what you mean but your answer came off as pretty disrespectful and...
Goodwin open day invite, is it online for everyone? They originally said that they would invite unsuccessful candidates to participate online, but the email says i've been successful and that they've made the "difficult decision" to move it online. Basically I want to know whether they're lying...
I would assume it means GCSE or equivalent because it is phrased as an eligibility question, meaning that if you selected "no" you would probs get something telling you to withdraw your application/that you cannot apply. Then again, maybe the opportunity is just for UK graduates?
At the Bird&Bird open day there were quite a few career changers among the trainees and associates who were at least in their 30s when they got a TC. I know you're only considering US firms but maybe worth bearing in mind! x
Thank you!!
Just out of curiosity, are you drawing from personal experience, and if not, would you recommend any resources to look at (aside from the ones Jessica mentioned) to get a better understanding? Thanks again xx
