    I had 6 days to prepare for an A&O AC but 4 weeks to prepare for a Slaughters AC- so it very much depends on the firm!

    Hi I think they are getting back to people in batches- I was sent the WG on the 29th December, sat it on the 31st, and then sent an AC invite on the 6th or 7th January.

    Hey I’m currently preparing for the Freshfields AC! I’m making sure I know my personal statement inside out and making sure I can elaborate on all my experiences. Also reading articles and thinking about how I would summarise it and whether I agree/disagree with the author’s opinion. Good luck :)

    Yes it wasn’t too bad! It was definitely challenging but not impossible, and I found it pretty enjoyable overall. The interviewers were extremely nice. Good luck with yours :)

    I tend to start with a skill e.g ‘I am well suited to a career as a commercial solicitor due to my strong team working skills’, and then I’ll explain an experience I have that demonstrates that, and then I’ll explain why this is an important skill for a commercial solicitor. Hope that helps!

    Hi I formatted it like a normal cover letter (I did the first year scheme with them and they said to do this), and I think it should be no more than a page long ideally. Hope that helps :)
