I found it difficult to tie the firm into this application when I completed it, but if there still is the situational judgment question then I tried to mention some aspect of commercial awareness/firm knowledge within that question! Other than that, just focus on strengths because this firm...
Oh wow! Thank you for letting me know! Whether this is true or not, it's still disappointing for those who do not have offers at all and have no chance in being considered for a direct TC if the firm wishes to cancel the VS.
I heard back yesterday about the vac scheme saying I was unsuccessful and just received an email about the TC (don't remember applying for one) saying the exact same thing as what @TYP mentioned.
I don't see why you wouldn't be eligible for it as Eversheds sponsors visas. I would maybe email Graduate Recruitment to confirm so you don't waste your time!
Someone messaged me (who applied to London) saying their friend heard back for the Manchester office. I still haven't heard back yet either (applied for Birmingham).
Hi @Jessica Booker,
How would you go about answering the following question in an interview:
"What would you do if a Partner hands you work when you are already overloaded with other things to do?"
Thanks! :)
Just got invited to a virtual assessment centre for Trowers & Hamlins. It includes a written assessment and interview. If anyone has any tips for me, I'd be very grateful! :)
Browne Jacobson has cancelled their summer vacation scheme and have asked applicants whether they would still like to be considered for a direct TC for 2022
I have been offered conditional offers for University of Law and BPP for the LPC. BPP told me the deadline to accept the offer is in May. The firm I am supposed to have the vacation scheme for this upcoming summer is partnered with BPP. Obviously I would appreciate if the firm funds my LPC and...
Hi Alice,
What are your top tips/general advice to keep in mind during a vacation scheme? I finally secured one for summer 2020 and would appreciate any insight you may have!
Thanks :)
For the in-tray exercise, it's using pen/paper so you have to prioritize the documents based on what you think is most important. It will involve things like email threads, documents to read over, and tasks you have to do as a "trainee". So I just suggest staying calm, keeping track of time, and...
My partner completed an AC with PM for the Summer Vac Scheme 2020. It just consisted of an in-tray exercise and the interview! No SWOT or another psych exercise.
As much preparation as you can do, the best tip is to practice. There are some online resources you can use but what I have done is just open the camera on my laptop and record myself answering a question. If there is a time frame mentioned (e.g 1 minute preparation, 2 minutes to answer) then...
I agree with Jessica. There's no need to use the STAR method for this question particularly. Just discuss your interests/experiences in depth. I looked at the trainee values to get an idea of how my examples aligned with them to make my answer stronger. As long as you are passionate about your...
This application was the only firm I applied to with an extensive amount of words/characters to fill. Although you don't have to use the entire 4000 character cap, I think firms offer this amount for a reason. They want you to fill the space to tell them more about your...
