Five more firms to hear back from with one app to finish, before the 2023 cycle closes for me. Decided there was no point in me applying for firms that I have no interest in, or who don't work in the area I want to specialise in. September opens for the 2024 apps and I'll be back on it then!
Anybody been able to apply for Kirkland Ellis? Their website is really confusing and says there's still time to apply, but no link to the actual application.
As of two minutes ago, they gave me a quick call and just basically said the interviewing partner’s didn’t see what they were looking for but want me to interview next year. They said I’d receive in-depth feedback, so to set up a time where I could have that at some point end of this month or...
Feeling rather deflated. Got to the final stage interview for Fieldfisher, had it almost 2 weeks ago, and I’m the only one to have not heard back from them despite offers being made last week.
A rejection is a rejection - I had a good cry about it yesterday lmao, but what really bothers me most...
There's a huge backlog for the London offices, to be fair. Only two people actually work the initial recruitment stages, and we were told during the choosing of our preferred office for the AC that London had a waiting list for the first, and that anyone who wouldn't get a place on that would...
I was also confused by their site. I tried to find a link to apply for the TC (as you say, it says July 11th for TC's) and nothing appeared on their job board.
Anyone have any experience or knowledge about applying to Simons Muirhead Burton? Their website is slightly confusing. They aren't taking VS applications this year because of COVID, and it says they take on TC applicants from September-October for two years time - meaning, I should apply in...
Just an update on Fieldfisher applications. Once I had confirmed my final stage interview a couple of weeks ago, we (all finalists) were told that the applications for 2022/2023 Manchester TC's will be finished and TC confirmations given out. I don't know what this means for the AC next month...
They could be a couple days over. It’s literally the two ladies who deal with initial recruitment applicants, so they get busy really quickly! I’d give it until end of the week :)
No, some firms use automated systems looking for key things in cv’s and applications. It’s a time saver for them basically. Just saves them manually sifting through every applicant.
I’d imagine you could technically, but I don’t know if it would be worth it to do in the same cycle? If you applied and was unsuccessful last year, then absolutely.
I gave them an email a couple weeks ago as I hadn't heard anything, and they said they would respond to all applicants by June 30th, with interviews taking place w/c 12th of July. I haven't heard anything either just to clarify, but they just said they had received a significant number more so...
It's not so much academic and the yes or no answer type assessments, but they just want you to be genuine about what you would do in the situations. I *believe* (it's been a while since I actually did the test) it is simply just a set of questions about different scenarios and so forth. It's...
I didn't think they were. They're still taking applications until the 31st of next month, but I was just confused with seeing others already having received offers for the same cohort year, or the year previous. I can imagine they get a horrendous number so that's understandable. Thanks!
