    Personally I would ask to do the SQE asap and then have the gap before the training contract so that your law is fresher for the exams. From what I hear the actual academic side doesn't feature as much as you'd expect in practice (and can be looked up if need be anyway)

    You will most likely need to do the SQE from this point on. Some of the law firms are evn asking those with LPC to do the SQE and I think with LPC you have to do SQE2.     On the plus side you will be able to improve your written applications and interview skills more easily than trying to better a WG score.

    I would guess they benchmark both application and WG first. And then go through a ranking process for combined scores to decide who to take forward.

    I actually meant in your applications for the Law Club functions that you haven't been able to secure successfully from a committee you were less than complimentary about but OK. Good to hear that your actual open day applications are fareing better and good luck when you start to apply for VS.

    I disagree. I suspect it could mark you out as "that person" and lead people to form the view that you are difficult. You never knkw when you might come across these people as they move firms and you try to.
