Congrats on the AC! Nothing to add to the team’s wonderful responses on this, but here are two more sources in the form of case studies which should also aid in your prep:

In situations like this, I would personally say it’s not always necessary to hit the word count. Sometimes thinking too heavily about this even made me waffle, but you will want conciseness in a cover letter. If you are able to back up your points and experiences well, and in less than the 1k...
Hey,
Huge congratulations on this!
I’ve provided some tips below:
1. Motivational Interviews
Motivational questions test whether you have a genuine and well-thought-out reason for pursuing a legal career and joining the firm you're applying to. Some common questions are:
Why Law?
This...
Hey,
Yep, this is a very common question. There will always be the question of why here rather than your home country. There’s a strong need for specificity, as you mentioned and rightly figured out. Law is law, so on the surface, practising law is similar regardless of the jurisdiction...
Hey,
Try to keep it all-rounded in three aspects; (1) academic, (2) professional, (3) hobbies/lighter things. There is usually not much space to say a lot, so you will need to be concise with all three, hitting the nail on the head with the most important points worth mentioning. I have been...
@average_jo123 , this is extremely thoughtful of you! Such detail and precision! Many, including myself, will surely find all this useful! Wishing you the absolute best.
I am really sorry about the PFOs. They are a natural part of the journey, and please do not let it keep you down. The paralegal market is really competitive, but nothing you can’t handle. Keep applying, keep refining your approach. Ask yourself… are there any gaps in my application strategy...
This is a really good question. I had wondered about it a lot whilst applying. I later realised the number doesn’t really matter (at least in an interview-specific scenario). You can ask one really good question at the end, that ends the interview with a bang. For me, I found this was not the...
And this is what this forum is all about! Thank you @Tintin06 for consistently sharing your progress and keeping yourself accountable - that is, arguably, the most important part of it all - accountability. I am personally very inspired by this, and I’m sure so are many of our members.
You are...
@Tsitsipas10S @Sandra20 , good question. Nothing to add to @Jessica Booker ’s great response on this.
@Ram has made a post on this for specific firms, which I have linked here -...
Hi there,
I have just spoken to someone that has gone through the process, and they mentioned roughly two weeks. However, I would not worry if you haven’t heard back within this time frame, as recruitment processes vary year on year, and it could just be that they are still sifting through ACs.
In situations like this where it’s unclear, or where one may not be able to reasonably reach GR before the deadline, I recommend just submitting a day before to be safe.
I’m really sorry about this. Please remember that this rejection does not define your journey at all. It hurts in the moment, and please allow yourself to feel those feelings…
Then rise up stronger.
Even being in the process is a testament to what’s coming.
You absolutely got this..! ;)
I have just checked their website and seen they operate a rolling recruitment. The deadline is May 31st, but since @futuretraineesolicitor mentioned success with submitting quite close to the deadline, it’s worth a shot. It’s always better to submit a quality application, than a rushed one. I’d...
I agree with @Chris Brown. It varies depending on the firm and the values they prioritise more. Of course, all values will be important, but some may be looked at more closely than others. I have done SJTs that have looked very similar off the bat of it, and passed some, but missed some. For...
I am quite unsure about this, but I believe so. I think most student discount providers will include the universities that provide SQE services, and you can register accordingly using your student email address.
