I applied to 5 firms last year. One was 2 weeks before deadline, all 4 others were within a couple of days of the deadline. The first one I got rejected from, the rest I made it through to the next stage, and got 2 vacation scheme offers. I don't have excellent grades or lots of work experience...- bethbristol

Inevitably you won't be able to prepare for every question possible, and I have definitely had some competency questions which were so different to what I have prepared. why do you actually want to work in commercial law? (honest)
completely agree with the notion that my initial attraction was that I want to feel successful and commercial law offered that. As I’ve delved deeper into it, I’ve found that I do have a solid interest in it and that success is measured on yourself and your pride in what you do not your bank balance- bethbristol
