Occasionally firms direct candidates to the vacation scheme if they feel they are better positioned there. That said, as you’ve already applied to the TC, I would stick with it - especially if it’s a large firm that accepts applicants from the direct route.

Are you considering 'commercial concept' quite widely? Note, this need not be something overly technical or related to commercial law. I would imagine there may have been scope for this at CAB or your other experiences, as it seems like you have a lot there!
