Thanks!
I wouldn't worry about which story the firm will like/is more suitable. Choose a story you find interesting. It doesn't have to be PE or related to the firm either.
I don't have a set structure for this question provided you cover all the points they raised. The most obvious one would...
If you want to learn more about PE, the BVCA has a very detailed intro guide: https://www.bvca.co.uk/Portals/0/library/Files/Website%20files/2012_0001_guide_to_private_equity.pdf.
Yes, I'd keep going. There's no way of knowing whether firms have filled up their places, and even if a law firm has filled up some, send in a very good application and they'll make room.
You do have to weigh it against over factors though. If it's a very long application, close to the deadline...
It's also a good way of weeding out candidates who aren't as committed to the firm. I liked Macfarlanes, but I figured I could send off two other applications in the time it would take me to apply.

Senators vote to end US backing for Saudi war on Yemen
"The US Senate has voted to withdraw US military aid for Saudi Arabia's war on Yemen and to blame the kingdom's crown prince for the murder of a journalist.
The historic vote is the first time any chamber of US Congress has agreed to pull...
Unfortunately not, but you can read up on the weakening of the leveraged loan market:

Just came across this FT article: "How I became more productive in 2018".
I know many of you are trying to balance writing applications and studying and/or working.
How are you finding it? How are you staying productive/minimising distraction?
