It is one of those things where it depends on many different factors, including:
Which firm? Some are much pickier than others
How many low 2.1 modules there are - if they are a majority this might be an issue more so than if there is just the occasional one module
When they were - firms may...
Yes - very common. Some firms will be able to accommodate, others may not (especially as they know they are not your first choice). There is absolutely no harm is asking though.
Absolutely no chance of doing them at the same time - no offence to your parents, but this is an absolutely terrible idea.
Even if both schemes were virtual, you'd be found out pretty quickly. Even if one of them was in person, it would be spotted pretty much immediately.
Typically you would still need to reapply in a different cycle, but there is no harm in asking. I would wait until you know there is no chance of them inviting you through though (eg when the recruitment process has concluded).

July is only a matter of weeks away - you could find that you are able to do the internship before the paralegal job starts.
If you did secure both offers, you could always renege on the one you don’t prefer.
Could you not do both? Do the placement and then do the paralegal role?
If not, it sounds like the paralegal role will be a longer term opportunity and therefore will be the better one to seek.
Working in a non U.K. office of an international firm would really be helpful if you wanted to work...
There won't be a standard policy, but many ATSs won't have the functionality to flag use of AI in an answer - it is more likely only going to be flagged by someone interpretating it as such (and even then the firm may not have an issue with it depending on the quality of your answer).
Sorry to hear you feel like that.
The firm understand the frustrations from the decision being made at this late stage in the process, and it wasn’t a decision made lightly.
I can answer this - it’s very genuine.
It was only sent to people who were at the final selection stages and who the firm want to keep in contact with for future opportunities.
