Good luck!
I think it is mostly considering the broader trend. I used to include a sentence or two regarding what the law firm could do but it was a very general consideration like increase lawyers knowledge about a specific issue I mentioned or invest in expanding a particular practice, but I would not...

Here are some tips for assessment centres that I shared: https://www.thecorporatelawacademy.com/forum/threads/tcla-vacation-scheme-applications-discussion-thread-2023-24.8037/post-151966
Huge achievement! You should be so proud!
Hey @random girl 12,
I am so sorry you feel this way but as an international student myself who undertook a master last year in London I can tell you that regardless of what you got during your degree, what really matter is your undergraduate degree grades, so as long as that is sufficient...
I think that the best approach is analysing the challenges looking at the social, economic and political dimensions. For instance, things that affect law firms' clients across the board are ESG considerations (especially nowadays), AI and technology regulations. Looking at the relations between...
I applied to the firm last year and got an assessment centre too and they want your high school grades too yes! I submitted my A-Level equivalent, not GCSE though, however I am an international student (for context). I am sure they will try and reply promptly, but I think that your certificates...
I agree with Jessica here, citing cases that the English offices have worked on is definitely more convincing. However, in my applications last year I did mention a lot of US deals too, especially when it came to big US law firms who have their most profitable offices in the US. However, when...
I would say that 2016 is very old, I would try and find a more recent deal, within the year or as recent as 2022. I am sure you can find something that can substantiate what you are saying!
If it specifically says that they are closed on the website, I would not bother applying (also confirmed by the fact that there are people with offers already). I would email them to confirm this and see, rather than wasting time on it (even though I know it is quite short).
Not necessarily, whatever you think it is worth it. For instance, I put working for an EU organisation, a fintech company and a small edtech company and a law firm. But 90% if my work experience is non-legal!
I do not think you are going to be at a disadvantage. Spring schemes are less competitive than Summer schemes since some international students cannot attend them (same goes with the Winter schemes) so I would say that you would have the same chances as if you were applying to the Summer scheme.
That seems a little bit odd, I would definitely flag it to them. Is it possible that you applied after the deadline? Maybe they sent the email because you were in their database even though they actually did not receive an application from you since you did not do the Watson Glaser. Email them...
I think that it depends on the firms, majority of assessment centres are conducting in January and February for both Spring and Summer. Some firms will conduct spring assessment centres earlier than the summer ones but for instance I did one assessment centre for a summer scheme in January last...
I think it means that you should choose the professional experiences which best showcase your ability, your interest in business and some level of competitiveness (meaning you had to go through a rigorous process to get). This does not mean that you cannot talk about more experiences in your...
I am not sure if you can add it or not (some people add it in the work experience section, others prefer not to add it and just mention it in the answer). If I were you, if you have enough work experience to talk about, I would not put them down but I would mention it as a way to substantiate...
