    Yes, it is smarter to go with Dechert in the example you provided. I would say that I would try and allocate time to both application, but because you would have much more chances at Dechert, it would make sense to focus more on Dechert for sure.

    They do recruit from direct training contract but I would say that the majority of training contracts are given to the vacation scheme students so if you can, I would advise to apply for a vacation scheme!

    When I applied I listed some of them, but not all of them. Choose a criteria for this, it might be that you are applying to firms with a strong PE focus or strong tech focus, so mention those that fit this description!
