I remember using job test prep and assessment day- have you checked them out? Their free resources are quite helpful and substantive, I never felt the need to buy packs, to be honest! You could also google research projects or pdfs with such tests- there are students and professors who research...
I'd definitely just stick to 4000 characters- there must be something you can cut and getting someone to look over your application can help you edit it appropriately. Not sticking to word limits is a sure-shot way to get your application disregarded or marked down simply on the basis of being...
Firstly, I must say that there really is no requirement for you to have any law-based work experience and that it's crucial for you to value whatever experiences you have been able to secure for yourself and the knowledge you have gained from them. Firms recognise what you value so if you...
Hi @DivyaBasan! I'll link some resources we have here at TCLA to help you. They are not NRF-specific but I suspect they will be useful nonetheless. Let me know if they mirror what you've been told the test will cover!

They may not have minimum A-Level requirements but maybe they need you to list your grades as evidence of you having completed them? I suspect what @B A has said may also be true to some extent. Tagging @Jessica Booker for her opinion as well!
I think it's great to talk about what you're genuinely interested in- the entire point of getting candidates to discuss news stories is to get them to unpick the details and engage with the commercial and legal issues at hand and this becomes much easier to do if you're choosing to talk about...
So happy to hear that you successfully completed your vac scheme! I hope the work that you've been consistently putting in was useful in your TC interview. They're designed to test the extent to which you're able to stand your ground and make and recover from mistakes, so don't be too worried...
I think you have 5 days to complete your WG as long as you get the form in by the application deadline. I would confirm this with the firm by sending. a short, polite email to grad rec if you're still unsure!
Congratulations on securing your Paralegal role 👏👏👏 I can tell that this has been such a confidence boost for you and exactly the affirmation you needed and I am so happy for you!
I think you're on the right track in how you're approaching this process- maybe those other rejections needed to...
First off, many congratulations on securing your summer analyst position 👏 I was super impressed by the fact that you have 7 years of experience running your own small business and have held multiple positions of responsibility at uni.
I think as Jessica said, targeting those firms with no...
You're definitely allowed to name-drop but it would probably be most natural and impactful if you name-drop in order to substantiate your motivations, as you already have in the example you've used above.
I wouldn't email grad rec about the fact that you forgot to sign off at the end as it isn't really an error they can fix on their end. They could take note of it but I don't know what purpose that would serve, really. Forgetting to sign off alone won't impact the decision on your application, so...
Did grad rec ask you to tailor your application to the firm or this particular answer? If it is the latter, which I think maybe unlikely, then talking about AI art may be more useful but you have to be careful about whether you are 'passionate' about AI art or simply interested in it. How often...
I would silo the first question for strictly academic and university or work-related achievements. For the second, I would include those interests that don't necessarily attract prizes or awards and take place outside if your school/work environment- say playing a sport, cooking, painting etc...
No, that would distract from the question as @Adam23 rightly put! I'd do something like state the skill ➡️ explain why you think it's important for success as a trainee ➡️ back it up with how you know this (through an open day, webinar, work ex etc.)
You definitely can (and should!) link the skills and qualities you choose back to your work experience as a way to substantiate your answer, but you can also pick examples from broader experiences of volunteering, participating in uni societies, any extracurriculars etc. I hope this helps!
Absolutely does not have to be two pages based on that wording but if you know you have more space now, is there something you'd like to add? If you feel your cover letter is robust as it is, then don't be deterred by the 2 page max limit if you want to submit!
