I remember when I applied for the Open Day, which is one of the more competitive Open Days to get onto, I applied over a month in advance and received my invitation to the Open Day at around 7pm the evening before the Open Day (which started at 9am) 🤣 Always remember that it's not a PFO until...
I would e-mail them to clarify, as the wording here is a bit unclear and last year they definitely allowed candidates to apply for a direct TC in the same recruitment cycle that they were unsuccessful for VS. They only did not allow candidates to reapply who had reached the interview stage.
Thanks so much once again - and the luck will be much needed on the exams!
@AvniD let's keep a webinar on case studies at ACs in the back of our minds
Hi @futuretraineesolicitor, I think your answer to Q1 sounds pretty good! If you can explain why you are draw to firms that do M&A and PE then your answer will be even better and perhaps you can think of one or two more aspects of the firms you are applying to that are similar (e.g. are they all...

Week 3 - Competency-Based Interviews
Competency-based interviews are the bane of many candidates' interview processes. They can be extremely challenging since they require that you think of examples from your life when you have demonstrated a wide range of skills that are relevant to the work...
Hi @A494,

Hi @green124 I would not worry at all about your situation as there are many applicants who graduated from university 5+ years ago, plus there are still a lot of firms you can apply to this cycle (especially for direct TC)! Check out @AvniD's thread about things to consider when applying...
Hmm I will wait to hear @Jessica Booker's insight on this but I wonder if it could mean that you will get some technical commercial questions (e.g. how a deal is structured and what the processes are in an acquisition). I would perhaps check out a video like this one which gives a simple...
