Morning comrades.
So I appear to have got over checking my emails every 90 seconds to see if I’ve heard back from any firms post app. Phew! But I’m now on checking to see if I get an outcome following the WG I did last night 🙈
That was intense. I had never done one before so spent all day...
Ok, so Watson and I are not friends. Just when I think I’m getting the knack he goes and switches tactic. If there’s anything in this process that’ll be my undoing more than anything else, it’s this fella.
If you could all channel your inner-Aretha Franklin and ‘say a little prayer’ for me, I’d...
Oh yikes. Akin WG came through last night at gone 6:30, to be completed by midnight tomorrow.
Only trouble is I was so convinced I’d never get past application stage, I’ve never practised 🤦♀️
Please help 🤣🍷
Not at all. I understand completely. I’ve wanted to be a lawyer as long as I can remember. At 34 I’m still trying to get there. Believe me, I understand more than most what it’s like to feel embarrassed, undeserving or unworthy, especially when I stand in a room with my husband at some event...

I’ve got loads I’m waiting for post-app. Kirkland, Latham, Sidley, Covington, Akin, Shearman and a few others and haven’t heard a peep from any of them. 😢
That’s fantastic, massive well done 🤩
I applied on the 3rd so not looking hopeful. This is my first round of applications and I think, having just done the Ropes&Gray training sesh, I’ve fluffed them all 🤣 ah well, practice run to learn all my lessons in preparation for the real thing next time...
Thank you :) what will be, will be. It's my first ever round so a steep learning curve and I'm trying to take it as a practice run, make sure I'm on top form for later in the year.
I applied on 10th Jan. Best of luck with any you're waiting for!
Can anybody recommend any virtual events/workshops they've attended which you feel has helped with your applications, both in terms of how to make them stand out but also, to add to the "detail any events you've attended" section? Alternatively any in-person events that were really useful?TIA!
Weil PFO 😢
2 down, 8 to go. Not feeling hopeful having not got past an application stage yet. As I’ve not heard from anyone else I’m presuming PFO as, if they were keen I imagine I’d have had VI or something by now 🤔
Please could I ask for some insight into the L&W Behavioural Assessment (SJT) in terms of outcomes. I’ve been trawling forums for a while but not found much around feedback.
Being completely transparent mine came back:
Strengths - Effective communication and judgment
Development - Personal...
